Founded in 1899, The Anti-Cruelty Society, based in Chicago, Illinois, is a private, non-profit humane society dedicated to caring for companion animals and the people who love them. As the oldest and largest animal welfare organization in the city, they provide an open door to any animal in need all year round. Their comprehensive services include adoption, low-cost spay/neuter clinic, a rehabilitation and treatment center, humane education, community outreach, cruelty, and abuse investigations and rescue, along with free behavior hotlines and dog training classes.
